Due to superior construction for its day, the Tartan 37 has held its value and demand in the market place. This makes the Tartan 37 a popular vessel to own operate and repower.

The Beta 35 or Beta 38 is a great engine replacement for the Tartan 37. It produces all the power required for excellent motoring and low speed handling, while also providing excellent efficiency. Beta Marine Custom engine mounts make for easy installation in this vessel. No changes to the original fiberglass engine beds are required.
Things to Know
- Custom engine mounts that are built to your specifications will make this engine installation as straight forward as possible, without major modifications.
- Use the Beta stainless steel high rise exhaust elbow for best exhaust routing.
- The Tartan 37 calls for a steep shaft angle. Beta installation angle is 15° maximum and works just fine in this application. The dipstick should be remarked to work at that angle.
